Job Summary SCLCO is seeking a Financial Accountant . Job Responsibilities Reporting to the GM, responsibilities can cover but not limited to the following: • Demonstrate practical application of technical accounting and financial practices and concepts beyond the mere adherence to detailed procedures and instructions. • Performs professional accounting work requiring standardized application of well-established principles, theories, concepts and practices. • Performs monthly Balance sheet and profit and loss analysis and produces management accounting reports. • Assists in preparation of summary reports, financial statements and tax returns. • Performs assignments intended to expand practical experience and develop professional judgement in applying basic techniques to professional problems. • Maintains assigned segment of financial, accounting, timekeeping, or tax records. • Examines a variety of recording and reporting documents and summaries to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government, or professional accounting requirements. • Analyzes accounting or financial data and problems. Prepares routine working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries. Indicating extent of examination. Presents and supports findings and recommendations. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline with at least 4 – 6 years of accounting experience. • Excellent verbal & written communication skills (English). • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook). • Experience and proficiency in basic accounting functions such as payroll, payables, receivables, financial accounting, tax. • Basic knowledge of internal controls and the ability to develop and interpret accounting procedures and reports. Additional Qualifications: • Should be dependable, punctual, conscientious and a team player. • Should be adaptable, maintain a positive professional attitude and maintain composure under stress. • Should be a 'self-starter', capable of working with team, taking initiatives in identifying and resolving issues, managing workload, and handling correspondence • The qualified candidate should possess good organization skills, attention to detail, and apply quality control over a heavy volume work with tight deadlines • Candidate is expected to maintain confidentiality of all information entrusted to the position
